Ed, Thanks so much for posting this. I really enjoyed reading it. Although I was never all that close to him, he comes to mind often – Paul was as “genuine” a human being as you will ever meet and as funny as he was, I think it is his sincerity that really lingers in my memory. Thanks again Ed.

Oh relax, open stalls or urinals are nothing odd…however when coming across the border from Juarez to El Paso I went to use the toilet…and discovered they had no doors….or partitions at all…just five toilets along one wall and 4 urinials and two sinks. and a dozen men using or waiting to use the facilities..

Wow, a cool glimpse into the mind of an escapee… I could not remember Paul’s last name, for some stupid reason I was associating him with piano, and kept thinking Paul Schaffer, but I knew it was wrong. How did he pass away? He was also very funny and talented. So how was your baby’s first xmas?
